The idea of slugs on the luff of the Mainsail to
make the sail easier to furl appeals to me now that I am reaching adulthood.
Does anyone know off the top of their head the hoist length of a standard
mainsail close enough for me to get a price from several of the many
sailmakers in Annapolis?

I just got my mainsail back from SailCare. According
to their invoice its 22' 7" by 9' 3" for an area of
112 sq. ft. (IMF). Hope thats the number you're
looking for.
