Bob,
I am SICK!
As it happens, I am going to Eureka Springs
that weekend because we are off 15-18th!!
Yes, I sail out of Lighthouse Landing. You
are welcome to use my boat if you'd like.
It is right off the ramp....you'll recognize her...
though she is very dirty today.
Last time we were out it was SO hot and NO wind
that we soaked to prune-ness for 5 hours on a
raft-up.
The Ladies race will be Saturday but it does not count
for the season total or I would have had great reservations
over this little trip! However, I am committed.
Must tell you that the Colgates are really a blast and if
you can sail at all, you will beat EVERY one in the race!
There are multiple coves for anchoring and swimming.
I stay on the LBL side, for there is less traffic and no homes.
However, if you are near the damn and cannot tolerate the
sun, head over to Cow bay which is 2nd up river from
Sledd creek (which is the large bay directly across from the
Lighthouse landing). If you go to their site, you click on "sailing
destinations" and can find great directions and descriptions of
the various anchor sites.
Go down my pier past my boat to the S2 about 3 boats down
from me on the right side and you will meet John and Lisa, my
racing partners...or hang around at the race meeting at 0830
and perhaps you can crew. Seems someone is always looking....!!
Hate that I will miss you, Bob.
Anne
