Joe,
Several owners have used a small saw or a Dremel tool to cut out a square
inspection/access hole at the top of the pennant tube. This allows you to
replace the tube and also install a clamp. Should the hose become clogged, it
could possibly allow water to leak into the cabin. You can then cover it with
either teak or the white plastic UHMWPF? or something like that.
