Well, I called Ez-loader and several tires houses, RV suppliers, and marine suppliers. The word I got is that radials can be used regardless of size as long as they are "ST" type (special trailer) with a load rating of "C" or "D". Normal car or truck tires with strong enough sidewalls should not be used because the trailer will sway and wander. The model Ez-loader trailer I have came with 15" tires. I have no idea what rating the junkyard axle I put on the trailer has, but it is much beefier than the stock axle. The tires I got with the trailer were old alpha-numeric sized L-78-15 belted bias ply tires. All tires are metric sized now-a-days.

Tire size depends on the axle rating. What is your axle? Or better yet, what

are the tires you currently have on your trailer and what are they rated for?
