Hello All,

The deal is just about done, so it's time I fessed up. I'm afraid I have 
succumbed to that dreaded malady know as 2footitis. Although I did gain 2 
feet in height, I was able to temper my craving, at least somewhat, and 
reduce my length on deck by 2 feet. Yes, I bought a Pacific Seacraft 
Flicka, one of those 20 small boats John Vigor wrote about, that will take 
you anywhere. All I have to do now is figure out how to get away. :-) :-)

I do hope though, that you all won't throw me off the list now for being a 
traitor. I still think the R22 is the best coastal cruising boat in the 22 
foot class. We have had an absolute ball with "Country Rhodes", learned a 
lot and met some of the nicest people on the planet. I do not regret for a 
minute ever having bought her.

What say you all??? No stonings in the making I hope. :-) :-) I'd like to 
continue to "hang" with you folks, if you don't mind.

Oh, by the way, this means I won't be able to defend my Spitzer Cup 
Invitational Rhodes 22 Regatta Championship next September. I will however 
be there (our reservations are already made) with my new (to me) boat, 
provided every one agrees not to throw rocks. I will have this fine brass 
cup polished up for the next champion. Maybe I can fill in as the new buoy 
at the far end of the course, or the committee boat or something.  :-)
