Barney,

My outboard motor bracket came with my boat. It's a Fulton Model MB18200134
rated for up to 9.9 hp outboards weighing up to 130 lbs & has 9" of vertical
travel. If it ever breaks or wears out, I will replace it with the GBI
motor mount, which I believe to be the best outboard motor mount on the
market today. If you are buying a motor mount, then no other motor mount
besides the factory GBI mount should even be under consideration!

My Honda 8 hp extra long shaft has a rated operating weight of 83.1 lb & a
transom height of 25.5 inches. The Honda 8 hp long shaft engine which you
are considering has a rated operating weight of 81.6 lbs & a transom height
of 22.5 inches.
