Rik,

I like the new bug as well. Our best firends have one and are quite happy 
with it. My first two cars were VW Bugs, in 75 I bought a 65 and in 77 I got 
a 66. Both had the old 6 volt system. At idle, with headlights, wipers, and 
tape deck on everything would slow down and the lights would get dim. I 
bought the first one for 75 bucks and rolled it a couple of years later. The 
second one I treated better and drove the hell out of for five years. I sold 
it to an old room mate who promptly totaled it.
