[Rhodes22-list] Help! My tongue is stuck!

We have launched without using the extension, but we also travel frequently with Bulldog and sometimes do require the use of it. It all comes down to the slope and length of the ramp you use. You would have to try it and decide how much length you need before you do such a project. And also it may be quite a project to undo when/if you do require the use of the extension.

It sounds like a good solution. The hitch that you use to launch the boat
must be off center. Does that present any problems?
Also has anyone launched without using the extension? I had an idea of
welding the tongue at some point where I could still tow short distances and
still be able to launch the boat. I have my boat in a slip all season and
only use the trailer twice a year.
I only tow it about 8 miles each way. I usually pick high tides to launch
and retrieve the boat and also I rent a truck so that I am not overly
concern about the rear wheels being submerged!
