A while back Roger described his trip on a catamaran from Rogers City to Pentawater. There was at least one response about the passage through the Straits, west of Mackinaw.

I came across an interesting article on the light house and shipping dangers in this area in Great Lakes Cruiser, "Waugoshance Light Station: A Nautical Gravestone" for any who might be interested.
