Bob,
Well, the refit is only done to the extent that "Getaway" is seaworthy.
There is still no bottom coat, the sails are dirty, and the inside is only
barely tolerable. I decided to launch it, anyway, because life is too short
to have a sailboat sitting in your yard!
It looks bad but it sails great and we are having a blast with it.
I put it in Carlyle lake at the West Access Marina. It sits on its
trailer since it has no bottom coat, but it is so easy to launch and recover
that we can be sailing within about 20 minutes of driving into the marina.
We plan to be out tomorrow (Saturday, September 14th).
How about you?
Fair Winds,
Bob Hendrickson
S/V Getaway
