I think it been mentioned but to get the point out, never use the spring load ball barring quick pins for any of the standing
rigging , their only use is in the traveler bar. they will fail on you. if you want to use the 14$+- push button ones that better,
but the sizes they come in are limited and they tend to be to long causing lines/sails lines to snag on them. most of the pins are
1/2 long, with the furual being the smallest and most of the forks around 1/4 dia(I sould double check), the bottoms line, it will
xots 5$ to pick of some form them west parts bins, with getting 8 in each size, buy some new ring at the same time, keep spares on
the boat, loose those quick pins now.

BTW, it not my style to get on people cases, this is a common mistake that people do that can get them real hurt.
