I'm with you on this one. Conventional and those non-conventional smart
bombs are enough to get anyone to submit. When I was in Vietnam I
experienced the 500 pounders dropped from B52's. I was never less than a
couple of miles away, but the concussion were incredible. The craters were
always fifteen to twenty feet deep and about thirty feet across. Anything
that got in the way was simply gone. Seeing the bombs drop on TV doesn't
really give you a good idea as to what it is like when you are the target
of one of those bunker busters. A couple of days of bombing will make
anyone want to throw up the white flag and give it up. It tends to get on
ones nerves.
