Michael,
As an IT guy, I tend to like anything that gets in the way of abuse and
spamming and enhances server and end-user security. Microsoft made it's own
bed when it opted for ease of use over security, and they're still
scrambling to get it right. That being said I'm all for convenience, too.
Not to add to your workload, but since you're dropping cookies anyway, can't
you also drop one that "remembers" my login and password for a
pre-determined amount of time so I only have to login again when it expires?
