	Hi Alice,
	I've had "Closing Time", a 1993 recycle for a year now.  Last year
she was in Taylor's Marina in Elkton, really shallow water, sometimes the
depth would show 2 foot at the slip.  I have a Garmin 240 fishfinder that
has really BIG nunbers and also shows an accurate battery voltage (handy for
battery capacity info).  The transponder is mounted in the lazarette, out of
the way, works well.  Currenty the fishfinder is mounted on the kickboard
below the bridgedeck going into the cabin, but may change it later.  At 7
feet away, it's easy to see and shows a depth trend.

Hi folks!  Hope to get delivery on my R22 soon and I'm considering a depth 
finder.  I know, from past emails, that many, including Stan, think this is 
not needed however, I'll be sailing on the Chesapeake and would feel a bit 
safer with it.  For those who have (or want) one, what depth finder would
you 
recommend (don't need fishfinder - I do that on my own with a fishing pole).
