[Rhodes22-list] I Hate My Trailer

Thanks, Mary.
Where are you putting in on Pepin? Lake City? Sounds like fun, but I'm not
sure I'd swim in that water...take your Cipro!

Leech Lake was really great. It's very sparsely populated and not
surrounded by homes and resorts. It's mostly wilderness. Just make sure
you're provisioned well because you won't find many places to restock. One
mistake we made was not checking the fresh water tank before we left, and we
ran out the first day. We had bottled water to drink and cook with but had
to do KP with the lake water. Don't make that mistake going to Pepin!

After sailing almost exclusively on Lake Minnetonka for the last six years,
it was a great feeling to get out on a big lake like Leech, where the winds
blow steady instead of gusting and swirling around all the land masses of
Minnetonka. Also, nice to go on those LONG tacks without having to maneuver
every few minutes. And almost no other boat traffic. Sweet!!! You can
practically close your eyes and take a nap on those tacks. 8-)

Have a great time and let us know how it went when you get back.
