[Rhodes22-list] 6 hp Mercury alternator

I'm going strictly from memory, so I could be wrong, but if your motor is 
equipped with the alternator, it must be connected to a battery. I would check 
with my local Mercury dealer to be sure. I know on our 30hp Mercury, which has a 
battery switch, if while the motor is running, I switch the battery off, it 
will fry the alternator coils.
