Only liberals use the Clinton tank!

Speaking of gas tanks, I have been using the new tanks that don't have air vents and that completely seal off when you are not pouring to move gas from the pump to my boat.  They are expensive compared to what we have been using, but they work great.  They won't leak even if they tip over.  You don't need a funnel.  You don't have to handle spouts.  They don't spill.  They won't overfill.  They may be expensive for gas tanks, but as noted by MJM, compared to everything else on the boat, they are one of the least expensive items, and they make a distasteful task much more palatable.

the Clinton gas tanks fit great, I get the feeling that some of the issues are people stealing or effecting the gas. Now I point out
that everything on the boat cost more than the gas so please steal it. but...... Maybe they remember some rotten ticks they played
as a kid :-)

I'll echo those comments.  I use a relatively flat container that fits under
one of the benches/seats held in place with velcro.

If you are even half way serious about this,
you might want to check something.

In some (perhaps all) R22s, the lazarette is
not sealed off from the cabin - there are/were
some passages that let water in the lazarette
get to the bilge.

If gas vapor can travel thru them...
