Wally,
           As I understand it, The Last of the Mohicans, was
filmed on the north shore of Lake James near Marion, NC. 
The waterfalls seens were filmed in the Dupont Forest near
Brevard, NC at Triple Falls.   Locals do not consider
Brevard near Cashiers.  Now Rainbow falls and both
Whitewater falls are near Cashiers.  Also, Panthertown
Valley is near Cashiers.  The forest servic is in a tizzy
about Panthertown Valley because the word about the place
has and is causing a use problem.  The forest service is
being pressured to limit access because many people bought
resort homes near or on its border and people arewanting
access to the scenic area.  
           Did Slim get out of his car?  Where exactly do
his friends live?
