Bob:  Our set up is similar or the same as Will Barry's. On the master panel
in the cabin I have a switch for the stern (built into the stern rail),
port, and starboard running lights (mounted port and starboard just forward
of the companion way on the cabin) and a second switch for the anchor and
steaming light.  At the lower portion of the mast I have a second switch
(two way) which controls whether the steaming light is lit or the anchor
light is lit.

The steaming light is a standard issue type that can be purchased at West
Marine.
