The space between the 2 skins is about 2 inches wide. Don't know if this
space is continuous or not. I'm sure that the 2 skins sandwich some
stiffening materials at some point. Changed out the side ports last year &
the 2 skin construction was there as well.

What is the details on the void between the inner and outer skins by the
port lights?  can I run wires through there?
