You may already be doing this, but if not, here's a suggestion. Make
backups. If you're going to do any work on a Unix box, this is a good habit
to get into. When you get ready to overwrite an .html file, rename the
currently existing one so you have a fall back. A fairly simple convention
is to replace the ".html" with your initials. In other words, "foo.html"
gets renamed to "foo.mdk". It's a bit clunky, but it can save your tail if
you need to revert to the original for any reason. Then, when you're sure
everything works correctly, you can delete all the ".mdk" files to clean
things out.
