Wally,
I have put most of my time into modifying my trailer. Also making adjustable boat stands to hold the boat while the trailer mods are going on and for when I strip and paint the hull in the Spring.
I fabricated a mast raising/lowering system which uses the trailer's winch. It worked beautifully single-handed. A crowd gathered to watch...hoping I'd fail?.... but not offering to help.
Ordering new spreaders and brackets from Dwyer and having a new forestay made. I am eventually going to replace all of the standing rigging because mine does not have turn buckles. I may wait on that if I can get 150 lbs tension using the thumb nuts. But I definitely want the GB traveller which mounts to the backstays.
All of the fiberglass work and re-bedding will have to wait for the warmer weather. Luckily for me, I made a friend who lives next to the boat yard used to do fiberglass. I have been picking his brains for tips. I have done epoxy and composite repair on aircraft so it can't be too difficult.
Hopefully all work will be completed before Memorial Day.
Todd
