[Rhodes22-list] Dislodged mast base plate

I had the same problem.
The plate is made to pop off and save the coach top.
I went with the next size screw, filled the holes with 5200 and remounted the plate. All  is well...

I'm sure this is on past posts and the FAQs, but for us newbies who have this problem or might, how do you properly remount the mast base plate?  During mast lowering last might, the winch got away from my wife and the mast dropped the last couple of feet.  No damage done except it did pop the mast base plate off.  I consoled my wife telling her it's made to do that and I would have it repaired in no time (help me make good on my promise!).  It looks like it's held down with one inch wood screws.

While I'm at it, what type of caulk do you suggest for topside?  I've got a couple of fittings where the caulk that is on there is degraded.  I assume something with UV resistance.
