First of all the centerboard cap came off easily. We didn't have to remove
much of the furniture - just the step, roll the carpet back and remove the
u-shaped floorboard around the cb cap.
The gasket came off intact. Now we are looking at the centerboard and for
the life us we can't see how it comes out. We don't see any access to the
pin. I remember Bob Quinn said something about grooves in the cb well that
allow the pin (and the board) to slide up. We don't see them. See the
attached picture taken from the companionway looking forward to where the
pin should be visible. What are we missing?
Everything looks in great shape though we'll probably replace the pennant.
It's just a straight run - no blocks. The trunk is a little cruddy and if
we figure out how to get the cb out we'll go ahead and clean and paint it.
