[Rhodes22-list] How does all that water find it's way to the
bilge.

Bill,
I have been hunting down a few leaks myself. The cabin hatch was securly
closed right? And the Ports don't seem to be leaking.....
Perhaps the rug is wet from water leaking down rather than rising water
from the bilge. You mention the boat lists a little to starboard and the
starboard cockpit seat drain is plugged. Heavy rain/snow may have flooded
the starboard side. This may have caused rising water to leak around the
companionway hatch.
Also water can get in the lazerrette via the cockpit coaming pockets. I am
not sure if I am using the right term here. Water does collect in mine and
there is a small drain hole(s) in each one. After heavy rain I get minor run
off below.
Maybe snow was driven up under the starboard bench and leaked over the
cokpit tub? The first time I cleaned my boat I gave the cockpit a good scrub
and hose down. When I was done there was quite a bit of water in the bilge.
Just a few guesses of course.
Good luck,
Wally
