[Rhodes22-list] Tiller pilot

I did this install on my boat with a Navico.

The tiller-pilot's ram when half extended should be 18 inches forward of the
rudder hinge point and perpendicular to the tiller.

For strength I attached a 1/2 inch plastic doubler to the cockpit deck on
the starboard side and then drilled the hole through both for the pivot
bushing.  I epoxied it into the hole..

You will need extensions to lengthen the ram so that it reaches the tiller
when it (the ram) is half extended.

You will need a bracket on the bottom of the tiller to lower the thrust pin
so that the ram is horizontal when attached to the pin.  They come in
several drops.  Pick the nearest one.

Don't fret about getting it all perfect.  On a small boat like the Rhodes it
makes little difference.

In my experience my Navico and your unit can use the same accessories (check
it out at West Marine)
