[Rhodes22-list] smooth bottoms

I believe that a waxed hull is actually slower. It was explained to me this
way: when you wax your car, and it rains, water beads up on the finish. If
the car hasn't been waxed, the water runs right off. You don't want the
water to "cling" to your hull, but rather to flow smoothly around it. Some
racers I know actually wet sand their hulls periodically with 600 grit &
finer wet/dry paper. They claim that's the best way to improve speed. I
dunno...
