Steve,

Do you mean "up and down" as opposed to "side to side"?  I guess its all on
how you look at it.  Laying on your back painting from "side to side" could
not only get paint in your face but could end up painting "front to back" if
you were laying with your feet sticking out toward the side of the boat.
This could become a bigger point of contention than any political
discussion.  Some things are better off just unsaid.
