                   I think you are right about odd lots, closeouts and custom 
fittings.  It does sometimes keep the cost of production down but makes it a 
challenge when restoring.  Fortunatly it isn't like restoring a '53 Packard 
Caribbean where you actually care if it is "original".  I've got no problem 
updating my '83 Rhodes.  Hey any cool ideas or solutions or problems you 
discovered during your restoration?
