Just heard from elton. he never left, could not get a boat out with the strom prep in time.
they are ok. the plant and houses are ok. they lost some shingle, gusters and loose boards but overall not to bad. stan got two
chain saws and the plant crew is helping out, they are trees down on the power lines at the plant so thats going to wait for the
pros. This one did not have much rain, no flooding. the bigest problem alot of trees and power poles are down, to the point that
the wires are sherded, crews are using alot of new wire. this strom was trearning up 100+ year old oaks. roads choked with tress and
wires. Seem that any poles that had a traformer on it went down too. Thast bad, they are not going to have phone/electititly for a
while. no water without power(think totlets are out), very limitied gas(only a few stations with generator and they are limiting
purches to 10$, must have problems with resupply), no A/C. Cash only for everything. Town/shcools/churchs doing the "chinken Dinner
thing" to feed people. looks like the area going to be in the 1800's again for a while. It going to be hard/fatal on the old.
