Rik,
I agree with much of what you say. It helps when things are explained in a
resonable manner rather than tossing insults. :-)
To me there is a big difference between WWII and now. Germany and Japan
attacked pretty much the rest of the world. Iraq did attack Kuwait 15 or so
years ago but for the most part that involved an age old border dispute. I
was all for the first attck though as was most of the rest of the world.
I also agree that now that we are there we just can't walk away. I just
think it was a mistake from the get go to attack when we did. Best as I can
tell there was no threat to the US and we could blow up the country when
ever we really needed to.
I think it may be wishful thinking that Iraq will ever be "stable" any time
soon.
Glad you got down to your boat for a little R&R. One of these days i am
going to make it up that way.
