Slim,
I would be able to do that with my mast hoist rig, but it is not the GB
version because it forms a triangle so the pivot point is high in the air.
In fact I did just that last year - raised the whole thing myself from flat.
(I'm a 62 year old woman of 5' 3"). I do not have IMF thought, so my mast
is not heavy.
However I would suggest the following: get the lines set up so you can reach
the lines from near the back of the cockpit; then lift the mast to shoulder
height and pull up the slack.... then fasten the lines, or just keep pulling
it up.
The other approach would be to build a large "X" with two strong boards
pivoted with a bolt and restrained with lines. lift the mast and rest it
into the V of it. Then set up the crutch and carry on.
