Always use what works for you. The PS test raft is in my harbor. Whatever works for them works for me. But every place has different problems, and the locals almost always have the best answers.

  Subject: [Rhodes22-list] bottom paint

  hi all
hauled my boat this week for the yearly bottom and wax thing and was
absolutely shocked..as some of you know i keep my boat in the water all year in
baltimore harbor and sail the chesapeake bay....when she (sorry ladies) came out of
the water on the lift the bottom looked like it was just painted..there was
not a mussell, barnacle or any growth of any type way shape or form... ive
sailed the bay for over 25 yrs and have never had this experience...the only
change was the bottom paint i used last yr..it was seahawk tropikote with
  biocide...its an epoxy not an ablative..it cost $164 a gallon...used 1 gallon on the
  boat
.......i was initailly concerned with seahawk as it did not get a great
rating with practical sailor..however i liked their response to ps's article and
  also like their
guarantee...if you get anything on your boat they pay for the haul,
cleaning, repaint and launch...also my yard swears by the stuff...they said they only
had one boat out of 350 claim a warranty...thought id pass it on
  best
  tom
