Nell,
We purchased our recycled '96 last year from Stan and I can respond to some
of your thoughts:
Single-axle Triad trailer is great for your short distances.
Electric start - mandatory if you are like me with lousy upper body
strength. We purchased a new Yamaha 9.9 from Stan with the electric start
and it's the only way I would have it.
Remote control and motor linkage - an option with the 9.9 and also mandatory
on my list.
Electric Motor Lift - even with my weak arms, I can lift it but it helps if
I have my sailing gloves on
Cockpit cushions plus one of Elton's special chairs - very nice for sitting
at the tiller and having back support
Captain's chairs - very comfy
Bimini - if you are going to be sailing on hot days, you'll be more
comfortable
Pop-top enclosure - if you're going to stay overnight on your boat.
Auto tiller - no, unless you're going to go out for 6+ hours by yourself
Electric refrigerator - can't comment on this because we don't have access
to shorepower at our current location; keep in mind that if you go this
route you probably do not want to leave items in the refrigerator in case
the shorepower fails.
