why not make a hole in the boat? it fun. You are going to have to for speed. it work to place it inside, just make sure it is a good
seal to the hull, it can not be over the keel of it by the head or in the lasserert, make sure to put a small box or soming over it,
stuff hitting it is not good for it.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Shoot-Thru-Hull Transducer
I've purchased a transom mount transducer, and since the turbulence
there will interfere with the reading - and of course - provide mostly
"after the fact" information a "thru hull" is preferable.
I'm not going to cut a hole in the hull so I'll settle for "shoot thru
hull". I've learned that the Garmin transom mount I have offers
optional instruction for mounting as a "shoot thru".
I'm willing to try this approach. Has anyone determined where on the
hull a "shoot thru" works best?
Thanks in advance.
