[Rhodes22-list] Storage

Thanks Richard for your response. The boat that I am hoping to purchase is
a Rhodes 22 with a trailer and hence I can haul it to a less expensive
storage site, but these off-site storage houses I have contacted are still
costly.

<Does anyone know of a cost effective place to store a Rhodes 22 in the
winter in New Jersey? The places I have contacted are very expensive --
$900/winter.>

That's about the going price in the New York Metro area. It would probably
be more on the Sound and Raritan Bay.

Your best bet would be up the Hudson. There are a lot of marinas North of
the city that cater to smaller boats . You might save a couple of hundred.
Before you commit be sure the marina will allow you to self commission your
boat in the spring. Some will insist that they do it and with that comes a
big bill!

You might possibly find a guy with a trailer who would haul it and take it
to an inland storage area and there unload it and block it. Should be less
then storing it on the shoreline. Of course you would have to repeat the
exercise in the spring!
