[Rhodes22-list] Why is the R22 Not Reviewed?

Wally,
Stan Grayson contacted MJM well over a year ago. He had the idea for the
book and I think already had some of the author commitments but was looking
for someone who had cruised in a small production boat. Michael put it out
to the list asking if anyone was interested. I think you may even have been
involved in the discussion in May 2003. I was one of the people who raised
their hands. Stan wasn't interested in a group effort as he wanted a single
personal story to be the basis for the chapter. He was also looking for
geographic variety in the book and it eventually boiled down to me. It was
a fun project except that I turned out to be a lousy photographer and the
weather was very uncooperative. Instead of pictures of Fretless, there are
pics of Dave Walker's Windswept. I didn't get to see the other chapters
until the book was published a little over a week ago. I'm about 3/4 of the
way through and there are some good stories included. The other production
boats include a Marshall Sanderling, a Rob Roy 23 and a Falmouth Cutter.
Another of the chapters is by the guy who sold Sea Dart to Tristan Jones.
