[Rhodes22-list] Trailering weight

I tow my Rhodes with an Explorer and everything works out OK. Now I have a 2003 Explorer but I have used earlier version with no problems. The vehicle is rated at 5500 pounds. Things to remember: 1) You should have an attached hitch, do not use the bumper ball connection, 2) If you have a single axle trailer you will need to ensure that the boat is forward on the trailer such that you have about 200 to 300 pounds on the hitch. If not, you will fish tail, 3) you should have electric brakes. I jack the trailer up and verify that both brakes are working.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Trailering weight
Greetings All,
I wrote a few months back as a 'Potential Rowdy', and enjoyed all your
feedback. I am happy to say that I am writing today as a 'next season
Rowdy'!! (i.e. I put my deposit down, picked up my bottle of Mt. Gay, and
made some color choices:-) !!)
With all the trailer discussion going on I was getting a little nervous. I
have an 89 Ford Explorer 4wd, automatic V6. Does anyone think I would have
trouble pulling a Recycled 87??
What is the dry weight of the Rhodes22?? Real weight with equipment etc.??
Thanks in advance!!
Tim
