Without putting some fibres into the glass; (Rogers
knows this stuff better than me) but just glass
doesn't have a lot of streght to it. One small crack;
and the problem will come right back.
If all you are wanting to do is seal the area & fill
the void; I would think that 3M 5200 would do the job
much easier without any of the hassle of fiberglass.
Just an idea.
