[Rhodes22-list] Knoxville TN Rhodes 22 Club meeting

Sorry about the missed invite Wally.  We only stood on the shore watching
the other boats head out to race.  Shafer's wife was too cold, and my kid's
events precluded me from going out.

Our get together did spawn another idea that I would like to throw up to
the group.  Knoxville seems centrally located to a number of Rhodes (KY
Lake to Lake Hartwell and beyond), and our club facilities are well suited
for hosting regattas.  Has there ever been a Rhodes regatta?  Would anyone
be interested in having one?  If there is enough interest, I can look at
dates and see if our club could host.  Being that I am currently the
commodore, I sure it could be arranged.

Why weren't you sailing! While you guys talked about sailing I went
sailing.

Is Bill Shafer the guy at CYC who has had a Rhodes for years? I almost went

down there Saturday to crew on one of the boats racing. I decided to head
to
Watts Bar Lake and take my boat out. Had you been to CYC before?

Bob refresh my mind; are you on Cherokee? How do you like the area?
