Mark, Roger, Richard and Bob,
Thanks one and all--good explanations. I was under the false impression
that this procedure was more "folksy" and not too scientific. Sort of like
predicting the weather by the throbbing in Grandma's knee. Or, when a dog
eats grass it either means it's going to rain or the dog has constipation.
8-) There's probably at least some accuracy in both of those. I swear I've
seen my chocolate lab, Major graze like a cow in the back yard minutes
before it rained. Of course then he comes in and barfs on the rug...but it
IS raining. 8-) I'm happy to hear about simple things like this that
actually work out.
Thanks again,
Slim
