Good idea, I may try the loop. I have the standard set up and my clam cleat
doesn't hold the line. I use a qucik half hitch but it is a pain. I adjust
my traveler all the time and it really helps.
I am going to add a boom vang this year. I haven't figured out the details
but I think a fairly standard dinghy vang would work fine on the small main.
They are calling for rain this weekend ......
