Ben:

You should have been on Lake Hartwell yesterday. Around 6 pm the
winds were 15+ with gust in low 20's. Temp in low 80's. The winds were out
of the North, very unusual. My wife said it only took 20 minutes to get to
where at other times it takes 3 hours. If it had been a couple of hours
earlier, I would have gone to Rummy's old place, may he fold his sails in
peace.
Another bigger boat was with me early on and on SW heading he was
heeling 30 degrees, while I was heeling slightly. I keep waiting for the
wind that was causing all his heeling. I had gust but non put to that much
heel.
May another front move through Saturday.

Kentucky heat & humidity."

Man, this Louisiana boy is barely handling it either. Normally, in
compensation for the 90% humidity, God spares us the 100 degree
temperatures. But not yesterday. You would think that at some point
"miserably hot" would just be the sensation, and a human couldn't tell the
difference between 90 degrees and 100. But, let me put an end to that
notion here and now. It was so miserable yesterday that the sweat didn't
stop pouring. Not even inside in the a/c. I never got comfortable until I
got home and found shorts and a t-shirt.

Probably not sailing this weekend,
Ben
