the word shit is closer to the truth then you will ever know. That and some personable reasonability. Let me tell you a quick story
some one buys a boat, The boat has a vacuum flush head. Head is working. Test by staff and a surveyor. All is well. The person gets
the boat. But does not relize that all thier "testing" might have filled the holding tank. I thought in it works petty much like a
home tolit so I betting never read the website, manual or asked any question. Keeps using it and using it. Backs it up bigtime,
cloged vent line. Also I am not sure but I thing the gut wondered what the "cute little button did", like turn on the tank discharge
againts a closed sea cock. Big fuckup. Now the fun begins, he calls in a "repairer". The guy see him coming and is "charging" 1300$
to fix(the whole system was chear that that), "taken by the yard". than thier is a story to "cleanup" the mess more cash. charges
stan and withhold money, for his fuckup. Thats after 3 other of his screewup he got for free(figure a 5000 value), just to much.

Eric:
There are some issues involved that you, the others and I are not
privy to. If you noticed, Stan was trying to calm Michael down.
I bought a Rhodes 22 recycle from Stan and continue to deal with
him. He is an O.K. guy.
On email list and this list in the past, people have exceeded what
should be said in public. Recently, Dick Cheney and Teresa Kerry said
things off the cuff and not necessary.
In the real world, people loose their cool. Some realize it and
some do not. I have had to deal with people who intentionally loose their
cool. I have dealt with people who need anger management therapy.
Do not let Michael's exchange influence or color your reasoning.
Shit happens. Evidentially, Michael thought he was left with someone else's
shit that in his opinion was not necessary. The other guy thought he was
doing it right.
If you already had a boat, a few hours with a good wind would make
you forget about this incident. That was one reason I got a sailboat to
begin with. I just wanted a way to get away from others insanity, greed,
and self centeredness.

Hey Eric,
Because you are new around here you might not realize that Michael (aka
MJM) runs this list out of the goodness of his heart (which I'll admit did
not come across in the message you are complaining about). I've met Michael
and he's a good guy just as Stan is a good guy and the Rhodes 22 is a good
boat.
As you mull over your options remember that this is an Internet email list
and the Rhodes 22 is a boat. Keep them separate in your mind and you'll do
fine. By the way, welcome to the list and good luck with your small boat
decision. If the Rhodes 22 is right for you, no other small boat will do.
