Go to Northern Tool -- exact replacement at least cost. I tried to
take one apart. You get to the part where you need two flat box wrenches to
loosen a double bolted fastener. I did not have two 3/4 flat box wrenches
that were thin enough for the job. My frozen part is still inside that
section.
It is a good thing you reminded me. The instructions that came with
the new said keep well lubricated. I guess we found out why.

It's not worst the troble to try and save it. I would
just buy a new one. Beside, my experience with stuff
like this, even if you got it to work; when you really
need it - that when it will stop for good.
