[Rhodes22-list] Jacking Question

Stephen,

For a quick lift off the trailer, I jack up the trailer, and then place firm support under a substantial portion of the keel. Set Jack Stands to hold the boat upright. Then lower the trailer. A small jack under the keel puts a lot of pressure on a very small spot.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Jacking Question

I am trying to jack my Rhodes 22 off of the trailer to allow access to scrape and paint the bottom. Can I lift the stern by jacking on the aft section of the keel?

Then I was planning on lifting the bow side from the front of the keel and rolling the trailer out of the way.

If that is no good, what do you suggest?
Thanks, Stephen Staum
