[Rhodes22-list] Canoes, was Memorial Day Plans

Over the winter of 1990/91, one of the other adult leaders in my Scout troop
and his son built a cold molded cedar strip/epoxy canoe. It was absolutely
gorgeous! For the next couple of summers, we used it as part of the gateway
to our Boy Scout Summer Campsites. However, they also used it for running
rivers & by the 3rd summer, it had enough dings & scratches that it needed
to be completely refinished. I suppose everyone needs a hobby, although I'd
rather be using the canoe vs. sanding it down & refinishing it.
