Per BoatUS (Volume IX, November 2004, page 41), every 
Icom GP360 chart plotter has defective firmware.

Bummer, but programming errors do happen.

Word is that Icom will replace the firmware at the 
factory.  So far, so good.

Icom spokesman: "It's our policy that customers pay to 
ship their equipment for repairs and we pay to ship it 
back."

Wait a minute!  "Customers pay?"  Just who screwed up 
here?

Any chance you'd rethink this policy in this case?
