The Barres just sailed their boat to their waterfront home in Bradenton from 
the St. Petersburg show plus there are several other owners in that area if 
you want to meet other Rhodies on this trip.

Hi all,
I want to thank all of you who provided suggestions for us to keep warm over
the holiday sailing trips.  We decided the following after considering your
suggestions:
1. Dress warmly and for the weather expected.
2. Use the butane stove and flower pot technique for the Thanksgiving
sail.  Maybe the Origo, if it's horribly cold during the Christmas and New
Year's sail.
3. If I do move the fuel containers, the bow seems to be a better
choice than the back rail.
4. We are used to working with the condensation problem, but
appreciated a new view of solutions.

The Thanksgiving winds are presently forecasted to be 15-20 knots with some
gusting, depending upon when the front moves through, along with 4-7 foot
seas and rain and general coolness.  That's the long range version.
Last week was my 'dream weather'.  15-20 knots, 4-7 foot seas, the advisory
'Small craft use caution' and clear skies.  ('Small craft advisory' and we
don't go!)  Not too much difference from our sailing weekend, except the
rain.
We are planning to make our sail from Palm Harbor to the Bradenton-Sarasota
area.  We will duck into the ICW for night anchorage to hide from the wind
and have a more relaxed evening.  Maybe kabobs on the grill one evening.
Maybe a stop at a waterfront restaurant another.  An overnight at a
Bradenton Marina on a mooring.  It all sounds like fun.

Thanks again for all the info.  I do keep up with the info posted here and
save it for future use.  BTW, has anyone heard from the Bob O'quin and his
wife with their new retirement boat?
