While it's been unseasonably warm up here in Maine,
topping 42 degrees today, and tomorrow is supposed
to get up to 48 Sunday and Monday, with winds up to
30 MPH Sunday and 15 MPG Monday, the powers that be
have dropped Sebago Lake 4', stranding the launch
ramps, and the Portland Harbormaster has already
required all boats to be off moorings.
As I cannot afford a bubbled slip, and most of the
marinas have shut down their seaside launch ramps,
I'm done for the winter. One boat is in the
driveway under cover, and the other is in the shop
for a refurb.
I may have to come down to the Albemarle and rent
a boat from Stan to get a midwinter fix. After
all, Skinnersville is just across the Rt 32 bridge
from Edenton...
